yes I've just used the fog light lense instead of the indicator lense, used silver indicator bulbs. its got angel eye rings, done by Golf V5, one of the moderators on this forum. These lights were done a long time ago. I've got factory xenons with the anni look now.
With normal 9007 bulbs in everything is fine and the indicator only comes on with the high beams as it should. When I switched to a HID kit I had to plug in a couple relays into the Driver side wiring harness to get power for High/Low beam. Then the relays transfer power to the ballast which lights up the bulbs.
1. The AC does not work. 2. The cooling fans don't spin (either of them at all). I noticed this first because the car temp always stays at 90 when driving, even on long drives, but when the car is sat still idling the temp starts to creep up. As soon as I start driving again the temp goes back down to 90. I've checked the fans when it creeps up
Ur not wrong. My sister has a seat cupra. Apart from the steering wheel and alloy wheel caps having the seat logo on them, the rest has the usual VW audi stamps everywhere. Shocking really. I have a passat with heated seats, just found out the whole setup apart from the dash switch is the same as in the mk4 golf/bora.
Hi i am a newbie, my reverse and rear fog lights are not working on my mk5 golf automatic 2004. I checked the bulbs and fuses but still no luck. The relay is working as I can hear the click. Is there anything anyone could suggest I try. Thank you for your help.
Front Indicators Not Working. This week my front indicators stopped working, on both sides. Rear ones work fine and so do the mirror indicators. This is either when I use the indicator stick or hazard lights. The indicator lights and sound on the dash flash twice as fast. Just to give some context, I was at the scene of an accident and I left
AFWG. Get in your car, close the door, and cycle the key (turn the key on, but don't crank the engine, then turn it off again). With the key still in the ignition, open the door. Get out of your car. Lock it like you normally would, which I would assume is your keyfob. Wait about 15-20 seconds, and then using the key (CRITICAL: do not use the remote
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone. Just gotten an old Mk4 Golf off a neighbour and after checking out/sorting a failed brake light the central locking remote didn't work. I did the obvious - changed the battery in the remote - but as you can prob guess that didn't work. An internet search brought this up and hey presto!
This would happen the day before i go on a road trip holiday wouldnt it!!! This morning the near side indicators are flashing really fast and its not just the bulbs, even the little light on the dash is going fast and the blinker noise is fast! the far side is absolutly fine. What could cause thi
Reasons For Indicator Not Working On One Side: Poor Light Bulb. When the turn signal of the car is not working, this is the most common reason for it to not work. It will happen because like normal light bulbs the filament inside the bulb might be broken and the glass will be dark. Check this light bulb from Amazon. Bulb Sockets Oxidization.
VW Golf Mk4 1.4 16v Oil Light Warning on Dash. Measure your oil at normal operating temp, without the engine running of course. This will give you a more accurate reading once the oil has circulated in the system. With the ignition on, the oil pressure indicator light on the dash should come on and flash.
The ignition switch is a critical component of a vehicle’s electrical system that plays an important role in starting and stopping the engine. The Golf’s ignition switch is not what your key goes into. That is called the lock cylinder. The ignition switch typically sits directly behind the lock cylinder. It has three main functions.
