Re: Can't put in reverse. That means you are playing on simple automatic transmission. Change it to real automatic or sequential to get a different button for reversing. In other words, change your gear to reverse then accelerate as opposed to brake and reverse being the same key.
The mouse steering is very good, imo, once you dial the sensitivity in. As for the rest of the controls, I have the stuff I usually need mapped to a cluster around the throttle ('A') and brake ('S') keys: i.e., q, e, a, d, z, x, capslock, tab, tilde. I set these to light mode, highbeams, wiper, horn, air horn, directional indicators, hazard, etc.

Originally posted by PaxRon: The PXN V3 works very well with ATS or ETS2, it has 3 settings for sensitivity, make sure its on its lowest option. You need to set this each time you switch the wheel on. In ATS the wheel sensitivity slider needs to moved down to 3 notches from zero.
Re: Profile Keyboard/Controller Setup. Yes, it is. Go to "This PC > Documents > American Truck Simulator > Profiles > [Profile ID]," and copy the "config.cfg" " controls, sii " file. You can paste it in the folder of your other profiles. Since the profiles are just labeled as numbers in the folder, you can identify the profiles by using the date

Use keyboard and assign your controller buttons to the secondary box of the function you want. Fo the analog stick I believe you need to go to controls tab and make sure gamepad is selected. As you have limited buttons I tend to stick with the right trigger as the gas and then set 2 buttons to increase and decrease in gear while set to automatic.
Originally on keyboard. Borrowed a friends wheel and couldn't go back to a keyboard. So wheel, pedals, realistic shifting with gear grinding and floating gears, upgraded shifter and head/eye tracking. Its all about immersion. I love to drive, and this is cheaper then spending on fuel and repairs for an actual vehicle.

There are two controls for steering in the controls section of the game settings. The following settings are for my steering wheel. Steering Sensitivity 100% (slider to the right) Steering Non linearity 0-10% depending on your preference. From memory - it is a while ago now, I *think* sensitivity was about 20-25% for my keyboard.
